2006 Ch...ch...ch...changes

Spent New Years Eve in Las Vegas with friends, missing my love.

This weekend was the ultimate test for partying
without smoking. I quit 10 days ago and it's been
really tough. I haven't gone this long in 10 years
and I started even before then.

The energy is incredible and things are different.
The hangover does not hurt like it did when I smoked.

I have to keep strong!

House of Blues - Chicago 3

City Kittee and Steve drove me and Iota back to Laura's
to get my stuff and then we headed to the waterfront to
take pics of the frozen lake. BRRRRRR....
Back to the House of Blues for dinner and the 10pin
Lounge for pre-show drinks.

I was really tired tonight, last show of the 3 and
decided to head up to the foundation room and then
to the balcony. What a great show, it was Eddie's
Birthday and he ended up stage diving into the crowd
after he blew out his candles
with a wish of everybody blowing him. Haha.

Headed to Mother Hubbard's this time since
O'Callighans had a line out the door. This bar was
better for the last night since it gave us all time
to sit together to have drinks, food, and a last
chance chat. It was terribly sad to say good-bye to
everyone. I wish I could have had more time with
each person.

That night included: SisMary, Iota, City Kittee
and Steve,Tazzy and John, RageSouth and Debbie,
Valery, Colin, Sheri, Leesryche and friend, Mullein,
DJ2K...hope I did not forget anyone.

House of Blues - Chicago 2

Not much sleep last night and ready for round 2
tonight at the HOB.

Met up with Beavis,Iota, CityKittee and Steve,
Tazzy and John, Painter, SisMary, Mekataten,
RageSouth and Debbie, Colin,InfoAger, Mullein, DJ2K,
and a few others at the 10pin Lounge next door to
the HOB.
Everyone loved the triryche cookies.
Great pre-show party even tho we were late getting
there.

Tonight was easier getting into the venue, no
waiting in line for guests of the hotel, heh hem.

Another great show and I ended up with meet/greet
passes, so Sue and I headed back to get her leather
signed and off we went to O'Callighans again for
another night of after-show drinks. Michael Wilton
and Christien "Nikki" showed up and stayed til close.
We then headed back to the hotel to continue the party
til the crack of dawn.

A few hours of sleep...

House of Blues - Chicago 1

Flew into Chicago, dropped off the luggage and headed
out to the train for the House of Blues to see
Queensryche. It was so cold out and having
to walk two blocks was painful.

Met up with SisMary, CityKittee, and Iota.
The show was great and the venue was packed!
Hit O'Callaghans after for
drinks and Pamela Moore showed up.

Kiss

I bought two tickets to see Kiss and ended up going
alone, seems no one wanted to go, but then again I
didn't ask anyone.

So I get to the show, the seats are horrible but
the good ones are empty, so I find my way as close
as I can get. The guys come out jamming but I don't
recognize a single one of them, no make-up either.
The singer begins his entrancing song and as I gaze
past the strange dusky hooded cloak, I can see
the familiarity of who he is come into my minds view.
Am I the only one who knows its Paul? What's with
this unusual disguise?
Well, I'm dissappointed that not even Gene is around.
I watch the show but it's as if the band and singer
are in different bands, yet they play in unison.

The frustration has me wandering throughout the place,
looking for someone who knows the answers...but my
search is ended by the sound of rain outside my window....
and I wake up.
